About Us

“You, Lord, keep my lamp burning;
    my God turns my darkness into light.”

Psalm 18:28

Borderlands International believes that the collective body of believers are the presence of Jesus, the King of Second Chances, on the earth. We believe that Christ commanded us to go into all the world and share the Gospel with His lost children. He also promised that He would be with us always. That is why we are committed to taking the Gospel to areas and people groups where the stakes are high, the odds are against us and the challenges seem insurmountable. As the Bible says, that which is impossible for man is possible God, and we take Him at His word.

Borderlands International is a Christian 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which exists to help take the Gospel to the difficult to reach areas of our globe, wherever they may be. We aim to find creative and innovative solutions when confronted with challenges in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. While our emphasis is always on relational ministry, we achieve these things by equipping and supporting both projects and missionaries.

It is also our mission to create bridges of partnership to unite the global church. Many missionary-sending organizations support only Western missionaries. However, we believe that this stunts the potential of the grassroots missions movement and at the same time prevents the Western church from better understanding God’s Kingdom work around the globe. Borderlands supports discipled and well trained missionaries who are taking the Gospel to the toughest places in the world without regard to their nationality. Together, working as one body, we can share resources, stories and encouragement, and work together to bring about God’s Kingdom on earth.

Borderlands International is an intentionally small organization which holds all missionaries and projects to Biblical standards of integrity and accountability.

“Bare heights of loneliness…a wilderness whose burning winds sweep over glowing sands, what are they to Him? Even there He can refresh us, even there He can renew us.”
― Amy Carmichael
